Presidio Parkway | San Francisco, California

This $1 billion Public-Private Partnership (P3) replaced Doyle Drive and the entrance to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The project included design, construction, operation, maintenance, and financing of a seven-lane limited access highway, two tunnels and a bridge for 30 years. The Presidio Parkway project was the first to make use of a 2009 law that allowed California DOT and regional transportation authorities to conduct P3s.

Transtec served as the life-cycle cost advisor and pavement advisor for the project. Transtec developed the reports which were then forwarded to the lenders. All Operations and Maintenance (O&M) strategies for the project were reviewed and confirmed by Transtec before bid submission. Transtec worked very closely with the concessionaire to assure that all cost saving measures were considered for the concession period.
